Trains are now running normally following a road vehicle on the railway between Horsforth and Harrogate.

- Hillington West Platform Renewal: Services towards Paisley Gilmour Street will not call at Hillington West from Sunday 18 May to Saturday 23 August
Engineering work is taking place on Platform 2 at Hillington West station, closing the platform for 13 weeks (project background information is available below).
Due to this, Westbound trains (towards Paisley Gilmour Street) will not call at Hillington West. Eastbound services (towards Glasgow Central) are not affected by this and will run as normal.
If you are travelling to / from Hillington West you should instead travel to / from Hillington East if possible. Hillington East is a short distance from Hillington West.

Background information on this project:
Network Rail will be delivering nearly £3m of upgrades in platform works at Hillington West station. The investment will not only improve safety and reliability of the railway but will provide modern, safer platforms and wider improvements to the station environment for passengers.
The project consists of two 13-week phases, the first phase being the renewal of platform 1. Once platform 1 is renewed it will reopen and teams will then spend 13 weeks renewing platform 2.
- Hamilton West Platform Renewal: Services towards Motherwell / Larkhall will not call at Hamilton West from Sunday 18 May to Friday 29 August
Engineering work is taking place on Platform 2 at Hamilton West station, closing the platform for the duration.
Due to this, Eastbound trains (towards Motherwell / Larkhall) will not call at Hamilton West. Westbound services (towards Glasgow Central) are not affected by this and will run as normal.
If you are travelling to / from Hamilton West you should instead travel to / from Hamilton Central if possible. Hamilton Central is a short distance from Hamilton West.

- No trains between Blackheath and Charlton from Monday 19 May until Saturday 26 July
Engineering work is taking place on the Blackheath Tunnel, closing all lines between Blackheath and Charlton from Monday 19 May until the end of the day on Saturday 26 July.
No trains will run between Blackheath and Charlton.
Most trains between Dartford and London Cannon Street via Woolwich Arsenal / Lewisham will be diverted to run via Greenwich, however at peak times some of these trains will be diverted to run via Bexleyheath.
There will be two trains per hour fewer between Blackheath and London Cannon Street. At peak times some additional trains will run between Dartford and London Cannon Street via Bexleyheath. Alternative travel options:
You can use London Bus routes 54 and 380 at no extra cost between Blackheath, Charlton and Woolwich Arsenal You can also use the following routes, but normal TfL fares will apply:
- London Bus route SL3 between Abbey Wood, Bexleyheath and Sidcup railway stations.
- Docklands Light Railway between Lewisham and Greenwich

Engineering work is taking place between Leicester and Kettering, closing some lines.
Due to the above engineering work and to assist passengers travelling via Grantham, the following additional services will run:
- The 08:15 Nottingham to Grantham service, arriving at 08:48
- The 13:25 Nottingham to Peterborough service, calling at Grantham at 13:58, arriving at Peterborough at 14:26 (On Sunday 6 July, this train will not run because of engineering work near Ely)

Engineering work is taking place overnight between Newark Castle and Cleethorpes, closing some lines.
Monday to Thursday:
The 19:44 Leicester to Cleethorpes train will terminate at Market Rasen at 21:46. A replacement bus will run from Market Rasen, calling at Barnetby, Habrough, Grimsby Town and Cleethorpes.
The 20:44 Leicester to Lincoln train will terminate at Newark Castle at 22:05. It will no longer call at Collingham, Swinderby, Hykeham or Lincoln. You are advised to use alternative services.
The 21:58 Cleethorpes to Nottingham train will not run. A rail replacement bus will run from Cleethorpes, calling at Grimsby Town, Habrough, Barnetby, Market Rasen, Lincoln, Hykeham, Swinderby, Collingham, Newark castle, Fiskerton, Bleasby, Lowdham, Burton Joyce, Carlton and Nottingham.
Tuesday to Friday:
The 04:58 Lincoln to Cleethorpes train will not run. A rail replacement bus will run from Lincoln, calling at Market Rasen, Barnetby, Habrough, Grimsby Town and Cleethorpes. The 05:00 Cleethorpes to Lincoln train will not run. A rail replacement bus will run from Cleethorpes, calling at Grimsby Town, Habrough, Barnetby and Market Rasen. If you are travelling to Lincoln, you are advised to use an alternative train service.
The 05:50 Cleethorpes to Newark North Gate train will start from Market Rasen at 06:32. A rail replacement bus will run from Cleethorpes, calling at Grimsby Town, Habrough or Barnetby.
Saturday:
The 05:00 Cleethorpes to Lincoln Central train will no longer run. It will no longer call at Cleethorpes, Grimsby Town, Habrough, Barnetby, Market Rasen or Lincoln Central. A rail replacement bus will run between Cleethorpes and Lincoln Central calling at these stations.
The 05:23 Lincoln Central to Cleethorpes train will no longer run. It will no longer call at Lincoln Central, Market Rasen, Barnetby, Habrough, Grimsby Town or Cleethorpes. A rail replacement bus will run calling at these stations.

- The 05:00 Nottingham to Norwich train will depart earlier than scheduled at 04:55, it will continue to run up to 7 minutes earlier until Peterborough, where it will then run as scheduled.
- The 06:08 Nottingham to Norwich train will depart earlier than scheduled at 05:56, it will continue to run up to 12 minutes earlier until Peterborough, where it will then run as scheduled.

The 22:21 Morecambe to Preston service will be retimed to depart Preston earlier at 22:11, and will run later than usual to all other stations.

Engineering work is taking place in the Severn Tunnel Junction area on Sunday morning, closing all lines.
In preparation for this engineering work, the 18:18 and 19:18 London Paddington to Swansea services will not run.
You should instead use other train services to complete your journey.

Engineering work is taking place overnight between Balham and East Croydon, closing some lines.
End of Saturday service:
- The 01:10 London Victoria to Brighton train will be diverted between Clapham Junction and East Croydon, it will run slightly later than usual and will not call at Selhurst. Replacement buses will run from Clapham Junction to Selhurst and from Selhurst to East Croydon
Early Sunday morning service:
- Until approximately 06:45 on Sunday morning, Southern trains between London Victoria and Three Bridges / Brighton will be diverted between Clapham Junction and East Croydon and run to an amended timetable with extended journey times
- Until approximately 09:00 on Sunday morning, trains which usually run between London Victoria and Sutton / Epsom Downs will be diverted to run via East Croydon
- Until approximately 09:00 on Sunday morning trains which are planned to run between Tulse Hill and Caterham / Tattenham Corner will be diverted to run via Norwood Junction. Replacement buses will run between East Croydon and Sutton / Epsom Downs and also between London Bridge and East Croydon via Tulse Hill
- Until approximately 09:00 on Sunday morning, Gatwick Express trains will run to an amended timetable with slightly extended journey times

From 20:00 until the end of service, no Southern trains will run between Shepherd's Bush and Watford Junction.
You can use London Overground trains at no extra cost between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction.
Sunday:
All day on Sunday, no Southern trains will run between Clapham Junction and Watford Junction
Ticket acceptance:
On Saturday evening only, you can use alternative London Overground trains between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction.
On Saturday evening and all day on Sunday, you can use Southern trains between Clapham Junction and London Victoria, London Underground between London Victoria and London Euston and London Northwestern Railway or London Overground trains between London Euston and Watford Junction.

- Amended late night / early morning Southern service between Littlehampton and Bognor Regis / Chichester on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July
Engineering work is taking place between Littlehampton and Bognor Regis / Chichester, closing some lines.
Saturday:
The 22:16 London Victoria to Bognor Regis train will be diverted to Chichester and not call at Bognor Regis.
The 22:35 London Victoria to Chichester train will be diverted to Bognor Regis and not call at Chichester.
Sunday:
Until approximately 09:15 on Sunday morning, buses will replace trains between Littlehampton and Bognor Regis / Chichester and between Havant and Southampton Central. Journey times will be increased when using replacement buses.
Trains will run to an amended timetable between Brighton and Littlehampton and between Chichester and Portsmouth Harbour.
Trains to London Victoria will start from Littlehampton.

- Buses replace trains between Shrewsbury and Crewe on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July
Engineering work is taking place between Shrewsbury and Crewe, closing all lines via Yorton.
Buses will replace trains between Shrewsbury and Crewe all weekend.
Trains that usually run between Shrewsbury and Crewe will be diverted to run via Wrexham General / Chester, with services terminating at Crewe. A shuttle service will run between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly, and a reduced shuttle service will run between Chester and Crewe.

- No trains via Market Harborough on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July
Engineering work is taking place between Leicester and Kettering, closing all lines via Market Harborough.
Saturday:
A reduced and amended service of 1 train per hour will run between London St Pancras International and Nottingham, and 1 train per hour between London St Pancras International and Sheffield, with trains diverting to run via Corby with extended journey times. Trains will not call at Market Harborough.
A replacement bus service will run between Kettering and Leicester, calling at Market Harborough.
In addition:
- The 22:32 London St Pancras International to Derby service will not call at Beeston or Nottingham. A replacement bus service will run from East Midlands Parkway to Nottingham, calling at Beeston
Sunday:
The following services are affected:
- The 07:32 Derby to Sheffield service will depart earlier than usual at 07:05 and will run earlier throughout
- The 08:21 Nottingham to London St Pancras International service will start from East Midlands Parkway at 07:39. A replacement bus service will from Nottingham to East Midlands Parkway, calling at Beeston
- The 09:26 Nottingham to London St Pancras International service will start from East Midlands Parkway at 08:34. A replacement bus service will from Nottingham to East Midlands Parkway, calling at Beeston
- The 10:16 Nottingham to London St Pancras International service will start from East Midlands Parkway at 09:43. A replacement bus service will from Nottingham to East Midlands Parkway, calling at Beeston

- Rhymney line transformation: Buses replace trains between Caerphilly and Rhymney from Saturday 19 July to Sunday 31 August
Engineering work is taking place between Caerphilly and Rhymney, closing all lines from Saturday 19 July to Sunday 31 August (except Friday 1 August when lines are open for an event).
For the duration, when the lines are closed, buses will replace trains between Caerphilly and Rhymney, calling at all stations.
Background Information:
The Rhymney line is being upgraded as part of the next phase of the South Wales Metro. This six-week line closure is part of an intensive 8-month programme of engineering work on the upper Rhymney line, from Caerphilly to Rhymney.
The work taking place includes installing Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) to electrify the line, upgrading the track and signalling, and making station and infrastructure improvements. This will allow the introduction of brand-new tri-mode trains onto the Rhymney line, powered by electricity from the OLE, battery and diesel.
